Kosovska Devojka Ceramic Tile Mural is a powerful historical artwork from my My Art Collection, inspired by one of the most recognizable and deeply emotional scenes from Serbian cultural heritage.
The composition presents Kosovska Devojka kneeling beside a wounded warrior on the battlefield, offering him water from an ornate traditional vessel. Around them lie fallen soldiers, weapons and battlefield equipment, while a horse stands in the distance. The surrounding landscape extends toward distant mountains and a historic church, creating a strong sense of place and atmosphere.
The central figures are surrounded by carefully rendered traditional clothing, embroidered details, weapons, armor and other historical elements. Every part of the composition is designed to contribute to the story, from the expression of the wounded warrior to the quiet compassion of the woman caring for him.
The artwork combines the tragedy of the battlefield with an intimate moment of humanity and compassion. Rather than focusing only on the conflict, the scene emphasizes the human story at its center.
My Art Collection
Kosovska Devojka Ceramic Tile Mural is part of my My Art Collection, a collection of historical and cultural artworks created according to my own artistic vision.
For this piece, I wanted to create a monumental ceramic interpretation of Kosovska Devojka that preserves the emotional character of the traditional story while presenting it through the highly detailed visual language of laser engraving.
Laser Engraved Ceramic Artwork
The artwork is specially prepared for laser engraving on ceramic tiles, using black engraving, delicate gray gradients, fine cross-hatching and natural white ceramic.
The engraving technique allows extremely fine details to appear throughout the clothing, embroidery, faces, weapons, vegetation, clouds, rocks and distant landscape.
The four ceramic pieces form one continuous panoramic artwork, with the figures and landscape flowing naturally across all four tiles.
A Lasting Historical Artwork
The artwork is permanently laser engraved onto ceramic and is designed to remain a lasting decorative piece for decades with proper care and suitable installation.
It can become part of a family collection and be passed from parents to children and grandchildren, preserving the artwork as a physical representation of an important cultural story.

Single Color – Monochrome
A classic black and gray laser engraved finish. Different shades of black and gray create depth, contrast and fine details, while the natural white ceramic remains visible as the lightest part of the artwork.
2 Colors
The artwork is created using two selected colors, with the natural white ceramic remaining part of the final composition.
3 Colors
The artwork is created using three selected colors, with the natural white ceramic remaining part of the final composition.
4 Colors

How Multi-Color Laser Engraving Works
For multi-color artwork, several layers of color can be applied to the ceramic surface. The laser selectively removes different areas and depths of these layers, revealing the colors underneath and creating the final image.
This means the colors are not simply printed onto the ceramic. They are revealed through the laser engraving process, allowing the artwork to have different tones, details and visual depth. Similar layered-color techniques are used by laser engraving makers to produce multi-color ceramic artwork.
The natural white ceramic is not counted as one of the selected colors. It remains the natural background of the artwork.
